Wow! Praise God for the new week. Whether you believe it or not, this week is loaded with goodies for the children of God who dare to believe. The world might be experiencing some hard times, but they that trust in Lord shall be strong, they shall be like mount Zion that cannot be moved but abides for ever.
You have nothing to fear, for we surely know and are convinced that the Lord is on our side and if the Lord be for us, who can be against us? All you need is to be rest assured that He that has called you out of darkness, with not forsake you in this dark times. Has it not been written concerning you that ‘arise, shine, for your light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.’ This is not just a plea or an admonition, it is first a prophetic declaration and then a prophetic commandment to them that believe in His word. You cannot afford to stay down and discouraged like others are, who do not know their God neither do they have a working relationship with God. As for a believing child of God, the word of God says to you, arise, shine.
In the midst of great and grave difficulty, arise, shine.
In the thick of confusion, arise, shine.
When everything seem not be working, arise, shine.
When people complain of hard times, arise, shine.
When feeding becomes luxury for others, arise, shine.
You do not have another option as a child of God, the Lord has made a way of escape for you and I. The world may be experiencing a financial melt down, you must arise, shine, for your light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. The world may be experiencing recession and depression, you must arise, shine. The glory of the Lord does not struggle with earthly challenges. The glory of the Lord does not find it hard to survive under any circumstances. As a carrier of His glory, you carry His manifest presence and where the spirit (presence) of the Lord is, there is freedom. No wonder scripture records it that ‘in the presence of the Lord, there is fullness of joy and at His right hands, there are pleasures for ever more.’ This means your joy knows no bound neither is it limited to circumstantial evidence. You will simply enjoy limitless joy due to unending pleasures that issues out of God’s right hand. Little wonder Paul said, ‘If truly you have risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sits at the right hand of God (where there are pleasures forever). Set your affections on things above, not on things on the earth.’ Colossians 3:1-2 (My Paraphrase).
You cannot enjoy His presence and suffer lack.
You cannot be in His presence and want.
David with assurance in his heart declared, ‘the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not WANT’.
To be in His presence, where there is light and glory, and you’ll be subject to the elements of this earth.
When you’re in His presence, you will live a life of dominion.
May I announce to you that darkness may cover the earth and thick darkness may be cast on the people who are earthly and sensual, but you shall be exempted. You shall arise, shine for the glorious light of the Lord has come upon you and it’s time for you to manifest God’s glory. Jesus once told us, ‘as long as I am in this world, I am the light of this world’, but before He left, He also called us “the light of the world”. Wow! Isn’t that a great honour and responsibility bestowed on us? You are a light, I am a light. It means there is no room for darkness or dark times. We must hence shine as light for all to see. We are not to be hidden under the bushel. Jesus commanded us saying, ‘let your light so shine before men that they may glorify your Father that is in heaven.’
What would you like to be, a light or in darkness?
Darkness connotes confusion, lack of sight and insight, lack of focus or direction. Would you like to whine and complain like others do or simply show them a way out of their complaints. Whether you like it or not, earthly governance may never solve the ever increasing problems and challenges of man. So, would you trust your life with God or the government? However and whatever you choose, you’ve made a good choice only that the consequences are different. But I would rather you stake your life for and with God, than suffer with this clueless and dark minded world.
God is calling you to another type of economy. God is calling you to another kind of life. Egypt may be in darkness, here in Goshen, we gat light. Egypt may be suffering plaques, here in Goshen, we are healthy and no plaque shall by any means come near our dwelling. Egypt might lose her firstborn(the strength of Egypt), here in Goshen we are all preserved. Come, oh man, come to the Lord for ‘the name (authority) of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous runs into it and are saved. The world is no longer safe. The world is in chaos and is suffering, but all who hide under the shadow of the Almighty will rejoice and be glad, for they will partake of His unending pleasure.
Let me share this scripture with you as I conclude today, “God is my refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear even if the earth is shaking and about to be removed, and the mountains are carried into the seas. Even if the waters rises up in fury because of high tides caused by the mountains shaking it to the fountain. There is a river whose streams shall make the city of the God glad, which is the Holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. God is in the very center of that city, and it shall not be moved for God shall HELP her and that He will do, early.” Psalm 46:1-5. (My Paraphrase).
This is exactly what God is saying about you this week, so, rejoice in the Lord and I say emphatically again, rejoice in the Lord always. God bless you. Encourage yourself in the Lord and be full of Faith, for the Just shall live by faith. Have a blessed week.
